Direct notice to guardians

How Tadamo handles a child's information.

Last updated 2026-07-15. Applies to the Tadamo private family preview; it will be revised and re-noticed before any family outside the developer's own uses the app.

Who operates Tadamo

Tadamo is operated by Star Seeker Games, DBA Bare Getaways LLC, 4908 38th Way South, Unit 305, St. Petersburg, FL 33711, United States. Contact support@playstarseeker.com or 727-638-3936.

Information used

  • Live speech: audio recorded only after Talk starts and sent to Microsoft Azure Speech for recognition.
  • Text-only exchange history: candidate text, the action taken, timing, the applicable consent snapshot, and any sentence a guardian explicitly enters as a correction.
  • Optional learning recordings: calibration, recording-game, or consented StarSeeker practice clips. These are stored only when training retention is granted and start quarantined until guardian review.
  • Communication context: guardian-created phrases, word patterns, and measured pronunciation rules.
  • Account and operations: guardian account, subscription, signed-consent evidence, and one-way device-token hashes.

Guardian consent choices

Before a child profile is created, Tadamo requires either a server-confirmed positive payment tied to the signing guardian or a separately recorded adult-verification decision. An eligible payment may be confirmed by Stripe or by an Apple-signed, paid production App Store transaction. Merely collecting a payment method, holding an active subscription, restoring a family-shared purchase, or using a free, zero-dollar, sandbox, or TestFlight transaction is not treated as verification. The current agreement is versioned and signed with the guardian's name, relationship, server time, and agreement hash.

  • Live speech and Microsoft processing is one combined choice: it permits live recognition and identifies Microsoft Azure Speech as the processor. Because the service cannot recognize speech without sending that turn to its disclosed processor, these are not presented as separable choices.
  • Training-audio retention permits saved recordings for this child's learning corpus.
  • StarSeeker recording import separately permits copying eligible prompted, same-speaker recordings into a private review queue. Every imported take remains unapproved and cannot enter training until a guardian plays the complete recording and approves it.
  • Voice output optionally permits manual Speak after caption review. Automatic speech would additionally require a separately issued, current validation policy bound to this speaker and active personal model; this release issues none.

Declining speech processing does not disable the offline photo phrase board.

Providers and use limits

Supabase hosts encrypted account, consent, phrase, and optional recording data. Microsoft Azure Speech processes live speech and may hold a child-specific dataset/model only after the corresponding guardian choices and quality gates are satisfied. Tadamo does not use voice to identify a person, show behavioral advertising, or sell child information.

Guardian rights and in-app controls

  • Correct a live caption in Today's Talk. That explicit correction may teach this child's private heard-to-intended word pattern; an automatic guess alone never does.
  • Review the label and metadata, correct, exclude, or delete a saved recording; each new take is played locally before the guardian chooses Keep.
  • Change or revoke each consent independently; speech-provider access stops when current consent is absent.
  • Delete a child profile, which revokes its devices and queues recordings, datasets, and models for deletion.
  • Delete the family account in app; access is revoked and billing/auth deletion follows artifact cleanup.
